PUBG Mobile Pro League (PMPL), is a mobile professional league popular in South Asia Region featuring teams from India and South Asia. There are 20 qualified teams that have been selected to participate in a tournament for a 200, 000 dollars prize pool, and the winners get to participate in the PUBG Mobile World Championship 2020. Teams selected are from India, Bangladesh and Nepal, who will come together to take part in the games. The league is already on its final leg, in the third and final week of the competitions. Matches had been scheduled to take place for three weeks with the players playing 5 matches a day and playing for 4 days a week.
The top three contestants will be given a go-ahead to take part in the PMWL 2020. This season attracted more players when the organizers decide to level things up by having a much bigger prize pool. To add onto the golden prize, this edition of PMPL South Asia invited qualified teams all over the region to compete against each other. The invited teams include Bigestron Esports, Morph, Illuminate The Murder and Team Secret. After the first round the remaining 16 team will be divided into three pools which will compete against each other for weekly prize pool of 1500 dollars. Top leaderboard scorers will walk away with 3000 dollars, with the second and third walking away with 1000 and 500 dollars respectively.
The captivating prize pools are to keep the players excited and determined to win to keep the tournament interesting. During the first week of the league, serious competitions were seen with BTR, an Indonesian team who were formerly PMCO Champions. They were the champions of day one after getting one chicken in Vikendi and securing the topmost five spots in the other 3 games. Popularly known as Red Aliens, the team showed much zeal and commitment, they were really aggressive by making daring moves to secure their position. From the Bigestron Esports team, a competent player Zuxxy was found, scoring 13 kills and dealing damage to over 2300 and got the title MVP in the first day of the grims.
At the end of the first day in the third week of the grims, TSM were in the lead with 173 points and two chicken dinners. Following closely behind were SynerGE and U Mumba Esports, competing in the same pool, at second and third positions respectively having scored 170 and 167 that day. It was a great disappointment to watch SynerGe go home after a spirited fight to maintain the top five positions. Another team eliminated despite their dedication was GodLike, they were at the eighth position with six pints. The league showed an intense competition among the participants as they all fought to remain in the game.
More is expected to be seen during the remainder of the season as enter the finals stretches of the game. With all the competitors going their best to win, nothing is expected as all show strong promise. All the competitors will receive at the end regardless of not getting the first three positions.
